How To Uplevel Your Website To Uplevel Your Sales?

Let me ask you, something girl. . . .

Are you getting interests & views on your boutique website but no sales?

This has been a constant topic of discussions inside the Babe Cave. I see a lot of you babes wondering why they are NOT getting sales even though they have great products in store...

Sooo let's take a step back and evaluate.

How To Uplevel Your Website To Uplevel Your Sales?

  • Let’s talk landing page & website

Where do your customers land when they come to your website via social media? If you sharing a fashion tip with your customers & instead of landing them on a blog that talks more about it land them on a product it'll just confuse them & they will eventually leave because that DID not match up to their expectations. It's essential to manage customer expectations... you don't have to over-deliver but you certainly need to deliver what you are promising.

  • Is your website easy to navigate?

Going back to where your customer lands, if they see something interesting on your Instagram post but the current link on the top takes them somewhere else, is it easy for them to navigate around & look for products? Having a clear store design is essential to sustain a profitable online boutique.

Ask a non-techy friend or an old family member to navigate around your store & find something. If they struggle you know you've got changes to make.

  • Is your product page optimized?

I often see babes grabbing the image off of the supplier's site along with the title & product description & pasting the exact same thing on their website. Are you guilty of doing the same? If so.. you've got work to do!

Here's WHY this is a bad idea - SEO - Think of them as Google points. Google prefers sites with original content & if your content is copied, they'd give more points aka more preference to the website that first published the content. This means that not only will you lose Google points, you'll also rank low in search engine which is bad for traffic & sales.

Having an optimized product description also helps you to form a connection with your audience & tell them about the product, how it feels, what it represents, material etc. Your tribe can not feel the products unlike in a traditional boutique; PD is the best way to spark up their imagination.

Here’s an example of an optimized product description for an accessory boutique -

  • Are your store policies clear & easy to go through?

In one of the researches I did on Facebook a few months back, I asked babes what their biggest fear was when it came to shopping online & it all came down to size, shipping times & returns. And when I interacted with these babes.. they said that they are more likely to buy from a website that lays down clear policies & information about the store than one that does not.

  • How long would it take to process the order?

  • How long will it take for the product to reach the customer once it's shipped out?

  • Do you accept returns? If so, who pays for it?

Adding all the information & having clear policies to your boutique is a MUST. It's important to be transparent and not leave anything for your customer to assume.

Does any of the pointers feel familiar to you? Are you making any of these mistakes? Do you now understand why you are getting traffic BUT no sales in your boutique?

Creating a website & putting products together is NOT enough to build a profitable boutique. A lot goes behind the scenes from updating products, finding keywords, optimizing website, revise& re-evaluate & more. You can not build a website & forget about it. You need to constantly monitor your strategies and website to ensure that the efforts YOU are putting in are reaping your results & not just wasting your time.

I’m curious to know. . . WHAT are you going to be evaluating & working on in your boutique? Are you making any of the same mistakes I mentioned above? Talk to me in the comments!
