How I doubled my client's profits in 1 month

My client has a crystal jewellery boutique she started back in December 2022. After trying Paid Advertising for the first 2 months, she decided it was time to grow the brand organically as Ads were not giving her the profits she needed. That’s where I came in.

Here’s HOW I helped her double her profits in just 1 month -

  • We got clear on her brand & audience.

My client had a health & wellness brand before she transitioned to selling handmade crystal jewellery. She wanted to combine both as a means to staying sassy & healthy, it just wasn’t clicking. The audience for health & wellness may not be the one buying crystals so we shifted our focus to ONLY crystal buying audience. (We went a little deeper in our conversations there!)

  • Creating Social Media Marketing strategy

We narrowed down on where her audience hangs out & how we can reach her - through email, SMS, IG & Facebook. Since her audience is above 40yrs old, we decided to skip TikTok. She has an account where she’ll post occassionally but that is not our primary focus point.

IG Strategy -

  • Deciding on our goal (other than Sales.)

  • Creating different type of content - educational, entertainment, infographics, photos etc.

  • Checking out the analytics & IG insights. If you are not sure how to read your Instagram insights, check out my previous blog here. In analytics we checked for - what content got most shares, most interaction, comments & other forms of engagement.

  • Taking notes & repeating it the next month.

  • Email Marketing

This one was a game changer for her. With a crystal brand, she focused a lot of Full Moon, New Moon, Mercury Retrograde kind of content & even though we were regularly sending out those emails, we were not really utilising the audience pool we had.

So we decided to go hard & do a little experiment. Instead of sending out just 4 emails a month (1/week), we decided to do 12 emails a month focusing on full moon, new moon, blog & product emails. It worked. Our sales grew by 97%!!

Not only did we make over $700 just from email marketing, her AOV (average order value) went from $20 to $48. All because we were strategic on WHAT emails we were sending out.

Here’s the thing, running a successful boutique is MORE than what products you are selling. Yes you need good products, you need to know what your audience wants so you can get it for them BUT it’s also about HOW you are marketing your products.

Being strategic about -

  • What you are posting

  • Why you are posting it.

  • How it will help you get more sales.
